Who We Are?

Diyala Economic Development Center (DEDC) is Diyala’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) which was established in January 2010, registered under the Non-Government Organization Assistance Office and the Secretariat Council of Ministries. DEDC was created with the technical support and financial assistance of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) funded Tijara program with the focus on providing economic growth by local community business training courses and other services such as English and computer classes to develop skills to stimulate economic growth.

Our Mission:

Our mission is to develop a favorable economic environment that will help in reconnecting Diyala to Iraq and assist the business society to face the present and future challenges. This SBDC aims to generate employment by creating new small businesses in the locality with the help of the resources available in the province.

The DEDC seeks to further investment opportunities, facilitate job creation by providing a variety of skills training to the local community and promote small and medium size business start-ups as well as the development of established businesses in the province of Diyala.
